In 2005 James didn’t just catch the eye of Suzuki he was also noticed by Robert Reid the 2001 World Rally Champion and due to his fine performances was selected as a driver in the new MSA British Rally Elite scheme. The Motor Sports Association introduced the scheme to help 4 of Britains most gifted rally drivers one day become World Rally Champions. In partnership with the sports science department at Edinburgh every ounce of sweat shed by James will be monitored and expert advice will be given to make the ‘complete’ package in terms of a driver.
